Strong reactions after Trump’s Greenland statement

On Sunday, Donald Trump stated that he wants the United States to own and control Greenland.

The statement has caused major reactions, and parliamentary politician Rasmus Jarlov calls Trump’s claim “completely unacceptable.”

Also during the previous presidential term, Trump stated that he would buy Greenland from Denmark.

The move comes at the same time as it has become clear who the US’s next envoy to the self-governing island will be.
