The dog registry in Finland, which is mandatory for all dog owners, is still struggling to reach completion.
The dog register opened in spring 2023, meaning owners were required to register dogs born before 2023 by the end of 2023.
However, the state radio network reports that not everyone has done so.
By the end of November, 321,750 dogs had been registered, while the Finnish Kennel Club estimates that there are approximately 800,000 dogs in Finland, approximately 60 percent of dogs are still unregistered.
