Preparations are being made to increase NATO’s presence in the Baltic Sea, says Johannes Koskinen (sd.), Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in Finland.
The Foreign Affairs Committee held an extraordinary meeting on Friday to discuss the cable damage incident in the Gulf of Finland. At the press conference following the meeting, Koskinen was asked whether Finland had any information on how NATO plans to expand its presence in the Baltic Sea.
“I don’t think there’s any information about that yet, but preparations are underway,” Koskinen replied.
