New record for Norwegian seafood – exported for 175.4 billion kroner last year

The export value ended at NOK 175.4 billion in 2024, which is the highest ever. This is an increase of NOK 3.7 billion, or 2 percent, compared to the record year 2023.

In recent years, a weak krone exchange rate has helped increase the export value of Norwegian seafood. At the same time, the volume has decreased since the record year of 2021, when 3.1 million tonnes of seafood were exported.
