At least 85 percent of Greenlander’s say no to leaving the Danish Commonwealth and becoming part of the United States, shows a new poll conducted by Verian for the Danish newspaper Berlingske and the Greenlandic newspaper Sermitsiaq.
Only 6 percent say yes to the US, while 9 percent have not taken a position.
The poll comes after US President Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed a desire for Greenland to become an American territory.
The survey is based on online interviews with 497 residents of Greenland.
