Night Helicopter Training to Take Place in Finland

NORDIC WAVE – Residents of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, Päijät-Häme, and Kymenlaakso may hear the sound of helicopters at night this coming week as the Finnish Defence Forces conduct training exercises.

The flights are part of the Utti Jaeger Regiment’s helicopter battalion’s final week of night flight training for the spring season.

The night flights are scheduled to begin on Monday evening and will conclude in the early hours of Friday morning.

While the exercises are necessary for training purposes, they may result in noise pollution in affected areas.

The Defence Forces have thanked local residents for their understanding during this essential operation.
